This fish traveled across the Pacific Ocean from Japan in a fishing boat cast out to sea by the 2011 Japanese Tsunami. This incredible fish used the protection of the floating boat as a home while it fed on marine life which accumulated on the boat as it drifted.

On March 22nd, 2013, after over two years at sea, the Japanese fishing boat "Sai-Shou-Maru" washed ashore on Long Beach, Washington, over 4,000 miles from home, carrying with it this amazing fish!
